Job Title: Freelance Project Planner
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire (2 days per week)
Rate: £400 per day
Contract Type: Freelance / Temporary

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Project Planner to join a well-established construction organization based in Knutsford. This role offers flexibility with the requirement of 2 days per week on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in project planning, be able to work independently, and assist in delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain project schedules for construction projects, ensuring all tasks are planned and executed within the agreed timelines.
* Collaborate with project teams to identify key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
* Monitor project progress, adjust schedules as necessary, and report on status to key stakeholders.
* Provide support to the project manager in managing changes to the scope, schedule, and costs.
* Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to prevent project delays.
* Ensure the accurate recording and reporting of project data and performance metrics.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations in planning and project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Project Planner in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of project management principles and tools.
* Proficient in scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Relevant degree or professional qualification in construction or project management is desirable but not essential.

Desirable:

* Experience working on commercial construction projects.
* Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Additional Information:

* This is a freelance role requiring 2 days per week on-site in Knutsford.
* The rate of pay is £400 per day.
* Immediate start is preferred.
