Job Title: Quantity Surveyor



A well-established residential developer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness of residential development projects, from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for residential construction projects.
* Manage and oversee procurement, tendering, and contract administration processes.
* Conduct site visits, valuations, and cost assessments to ensure financial control.
* Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier agreements.
* Monitor project expenditure, variations, and cash flow to maintain budgetary control.
* Prepare and submit interim and final accounts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
* Identify and mitigate financial risks and implement cost-saving strategies.
* Work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for financial claims and audits.

Requirements:

* A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or residential development sector.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-specific software.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
* A proactive and results-driven approach to cost management.
