Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic workplace design and build firm. Based in Manchester, you will play a pivotal role in delivering commercial CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects, ensuring cost control, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Take full ownership of project cost management from inception to completion.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies.
* Manage subcontractor and supplier tendering, selection, and contract negotiation.
* Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Provide clear and concise financial reporting, including forecasts and cash flow analysis.
* Identify and mitigate project risks while maximizing value engineering opportunities.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and company policies at all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or fit-out sector, ideally with exposure to CAT A and CAT B projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control procedures.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proficiency in industry-standard software such as MS Excel and project management tools.
