Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career, working alongside experienced professionals on high-profile CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for commercial fit-out projects.
* Support the management of project costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
* Measure and value subcontractor work, preparing accurate valuations and payment applications.
* Help identify, assess, and manage project risks and variations.
* Assist in preparing financial reports and project forecasts.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

* A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Previous experience in a construction or fit-out environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel and project management tools.
* A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
