Role Description:

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. You will be responsible for managing contracts from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the site team and line managers to ensure that projects meet quality, performance, and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Compile and gain approval of HSE documentation, including site-specific RAMS, prior to the commencement of all contracts.
* Ensure strict adherence to all HSE policies and regulations on-site, including those for subcontracted work.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the latest regulations and industry best practices.
* Manage the overall performance and contract compliance of projects, ensuring thorough understanding and review of project schemes prior to start.
* Oversee quality control and assurance for all projects.
* Set and monitor clear objectives for all projects during the pre-construction phase.
* Handover all relevant information to the site team for project execution.
* Set and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) for each project.
* Identify and implement opportunities to improve project margins and manage risks effectively.
* Regularly monitor and manage the status and financial performance of contracts through to completion, providing timely updates to the line manager.
* Attend adjudication meetings and ensure all relevant information is available at the handover stage.
* Conduct a Lessons Learned review at the end of each project/programme.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of materials, specifications, and industry trends.

What They Are Looking For:

* Significant management experience within the roofing industry, preferably as a Contracts Manager
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in flat and felt roofing
* In-depth knowledge of roofing systems, industry standards, and best practices.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and work effectively with diverse teams.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A passion for learning and growth within the roofing and construction industry.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Essential Skills:

* Full clean UK driving license.
* Clean DBS check (required).
* Strong understanding of housing law and housing management.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Experience with working at heights.
* SSSTS / SMSTS certification.
* Proven experience in contract management and delivering projects on time and within budget.
