Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a well-established subcontractor with a strong presence in high-profile infrastructure and security projects, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

They specialise in exciting and varied projects, including prisons, arenas, and occasionally high-rise residential developments.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing costs, estimating project budgets, and ensuring financial control on various construction projects. You will work closely with the existing team, collaborating on cost management from the initial tender stage through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Managing the cost aspects of various projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Working closely with the project team to provide accurate cost forecasts and advice.
* Preparing cost reports, valuations, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering, while ensuring that quality and compliance are maintained.
* Engaging with stakeholders and contractors to ensure smooth communication and deliver

The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A strong background in Quantity Surveying, with experience in construction projects, experience within a specialist subcontractor is ideal.
* Experience in managing budgets and costing from inception to completion.
* A solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
