Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their Cheshire-based team. You will play a pivotal role in both the pre-construction and delivery phases of high-value CAT B fit out projects, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and the internal project team to ensure commercial success from tender through to final account.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for CAT B fit out projects
*

Managing project budgets and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle
*

Measuring works and preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
*

Procuring and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
*

Attending site visits and client meetings to understand project scope and ensure accurate estimating
*

Collaborating with project managers to monitor and report on project performance
*

Managing risk, identifying opportunities for value engineering, and advising on cost-saving strategies
*

Maintaining accurate records and adhering to contractual and commercial obligations
*

Supporting junior team members and contributing to process improvement

What you will need to succeed:

Proven experience in a Senior QS or Estimator role within the commercial fit out or construction sector
*

Strong background working on CAT B fit out projects
*

Sound knowledge of estimating software and cost planning tools
*

Familiarity with standard forms of contract (JCT)
*

Excellent negotiation, communication, and client-facing skills
*

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
*

Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
*

Full UK driving licence
