My client are a highly regarded, leading tier 1 contractor delivering building and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

Their portfolio encompasses a well-balanced and extensive range of work with projects including civil engineering/infrastructure, commercial schemes, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.

They are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to initially work on a £20m office block scheme.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor your primary responsibilities will include:

* Efficiently manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
* Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
* Proficiently handle various contract forms, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
* Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.



Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on similar schemes exceeding £15 million in value.
* Proficiency in handling various contract forms
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
