Contracts Manager

A highly successful SME building contractor currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the business. The company deliver new build and refurbishment projects from £100k up to £5m, predominantly for the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors.

Duties will include:

* Managing project teams
* Producing project plans and setting programme targets
* Undertake document evaluations and issue tender programmes and site preliminaries costings
* Liaising with clients, suppliers and project management teams
* Overseeing the selection of project sub-contractors
* Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
* Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
* Development and training of staff

To be considered for the above role as Contracts Manager, applicants must have the following:

* Previous Contracts Management experience working for Main Contractors.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering a wide range of construction projects
* Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
* Strong people management skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Ability to plan and programme construction projects
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
* IT literate
