Build Salford - Building Careers

Build Salford is a transformative initiative by Salford City Council aimed at empowering residents and businesses in achieving sustainable growth and development.

The initiative is a unique traineeship programme for 16-24 year old Salford residents to get involved in if they are seeking the gateway to an apprenticeship with some of the best, local construction companies. The programme has over 20 dedicated industry partners who all have one thing in mind, to create as many opportunities as possible for young people looking to kick start their career in the construction sector. At Building Careers we're seen as the facilitators - the business that has the opportunities where we can place young construction talent into the right roles.

As a trusted recruitment provider, Building Careers plays a pivotal role in connecting individuals with rewarding employment opportunities within the construction sector through this programme. Together, we provide comprehensive support and resources, including training pathways, job placements, and business development, ensuring that Salford continues to thrive economically and socially.

We are also working with Salford City College to develop work placements for their college students and are developing new programmes to help adult local residents enter and move forward in the local construction industry.
